Events
The two regular annual members-only events are
The Annual General Meeting, which is normally held in September at the Art Workers’ Guild and followed by a dinner. The 2024 meeting was held in the Gradidge Room at the Art Workers’ Guild, 9 Queen Square, on Wednesday September 11th at 6.00 pm. It was followed by a dinner at the Antalya restaurant. In addition to the usual business of an AGM (as set out below), in 2024 there was a vote on a special resolution, notice of which was sent to all members in advance. The resolution put forward by the committee was approved by the members present at the meeting.
The regular business of the AGM is:
- the presentation of annual report and accounts and
- the election of officers, committee and hon auditor, plus
- any other matters which members or the committee may wish to raise.
Our Christmas Social is normally held in December in a private room at a public house or wine bar. The 2023 date and location was Tuesday 19th December at Ship and Shovell, near Charing Cross. A formal invite was sent to all members. The 2024 event will be at the same venue on the evening of Tuesday 17th December.
